  • Former NECA Contractor Executive Named Honorary Badgers Captain

    Keenan Credit:
    93-year-old former Edward Electric executive, Joe Keenan, was named honorary captain for the Badgers football game against Illinois and participated in the coin toss at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. “It was a great honor for me to be honored by the University of Wisconsin 71 years after I last played,” said Keenan.

    David Long
    District 3 Vice President, Miller Electric, Jacksonville, FL, has been in the electrical construction industry since 1975, when he became a construction wireman for Miller Electric. In 2012 Long was named president of Miller Electric, and has since served on the Local JATC Committee as chairman or secretary for over 15 years, and was appointed as Governor and Board of Director for the North Florida Chapter, NECA. Nationally, Long has also served on the NJATC Curriculum Committee and NECA’s Workforce Development Committee. In 2012 he received the Coggeshall Award and was inducted into theAcademy of Electrical Contracting. Long is currently a member of the ELECTRI Council and NECA's Political Leadership Council (PLC).

  • Leonard E. Lynch, Jr.

    District 9 Vice President, Edward W. Scott Electric, San Francisco, CA, rejoined the association in 1987 and has since served in every office within the San Francisco Chapter, NECA (SFECA.) Lynch has also served on the LMCC, and is currently the chairman of the board for the Electrical Industry Services Bureau, and local pension and welfare board.

    David A. Hardt, President-elect, Hardt Electric, Inc. Chicago, IL, joined NECA in 1975 and has been on the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC) executive committee for two years, and served as NECA's district IV Vice President for four years. In 2007 he was honored with the Coggeshall Award, for outstanding contribution to the progress of the industry in the Technical and Training Service field. Hardt is a longtime member of NECA's Political Leadership Council (PLC), and is a fellow of the Academy of Electrical Contracting.
